MR. ISAAC TAGOE is the Chairman and Co-Founder of Radiance Petroleum Limited.
He is also an Engineer and Administrator with many years of rich experience in the Petroleum industry in Ghana.
Prior to joining RPL, Mr. Tagoe served in the Petroleum sector of Ghana in various top positions from 1982 till date from the Ministry of Fuel & Power (1982), Tema Oil Refinery (1983), Petroleum Department (1984), Ministry of Mines and Energy (1996) as Director of Petroleum, Energy Commission (2001) as Chief of Petroleum, National Petroleum Authority (2005 to May 2013) as Technical Director.
As Director of Petroleum he helped develop and implement ‘import parity’ formula for pricing petroleum products and also led the team that evaluated and negotiated technical and financial proposals for the modernization of Ghana’s petroleum refinery (Tema Oil Refinery) (phases 1 & 2) with funding from Samsung Corporation.
Mr. Tagoe has published a number of articles among others to his credit:
Impacts and Lessons from The Management of Petroleum Crises in Ghana (July 1991);
Constraints to Energy Supply and Distribution in Ghana (Presented at an Energy Sector Workshop in Abidjan. July 1992);
Feasibility Report for the establishment of LPG Storage, Bottling and Distribution Plant in Ghana. (September, 1995) and Ghana: Recent Macroeconomic Performance, Problems and Policies (Harvard Kennedy School Course project December 1994 (jointly with Roger Hurnard of New Zealand and Rokeya Begum of Sri Lanka)
As Chairman of RPL, Mr. Tagoe brings a wealth of invaluable knowledge the Petroleum sector and in corporate governance and board practices.
Having served and continuing to serve as a director and chairman on the boards various reputable entities in Ghana including Ghana Oil Company, GOIL (1998), the National Petroleum Tender Board (2000) his expertise and experience contribute immensely to successful board decisions and actions for the overall success of RPL as with all the others.
He was a member of the NPA Technical Committee and is currently an Executive Director of Dome Energy Resources Limited, a Bulk Distribution Company, Chairman of Cedars Medical Centre( a Hospital), Chairman of Bidi Group (A Petroleum Services Provider), Member of NPA (National Petroleum Authority) Finance Committee and a Senior Partner of Ultimate Consulting Associates.
Isaac Tagoe is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers and married with four children.
He enjoys tennis, boxing, traveling and has a passion for current affairs hence labeling himself self an addict to CNN. He is keenly interested in mentoring the next generation of professionals in the Petroleum Industry and mentors a number of them.
Mr. Tagoe holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering (1979) and M.Sc. in the same area of study (1981) from the University of Veszprem, Hungary.
He also has a certificate in Energy Management from the University of Pittsburgh, USA (1988), a certificate in Project Management from the Academy for Educational Development Washington D.C. (1992).
He also has a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School (1995). Whilst at Harvard, he was the president of the Mason Fellows, Harvard Africa Region, for the Class of 1995.
MR. EMMANUEL POBEE is the Managing Director, Co-Founder and Member of the Board of Directors of Radiance Petroleum Limited (RPL).
He is also the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of EAP Logistics Limited. (The Logistics wing of RPL). Mr. Pobee birthed the vision of the company and was instrumental in the design and implementation of RPL’s Business Model and has been at the fore of realizing the vision of the company with the strategic guidance and assistance of the Board of Directors.
Prior to establishing RPL, Mr. Pobee worked in different management capacities with renowned international companies holding among others the positions of Engineering Manager at Xerox and Canadian Tire Corp, in Ontario, Canada and Shift Manager at Mars Canada Inc.
His forte is strengthening strategic partnerships with clients, increasing clients’ relevance and maintaining excellent relations with all stakeholders. He has worked tirelessly at evolving the company’s Business Model towards RPL’s aspirations of becoming the next generation OMC in Ghana whilst building an effective Management Team to deliver the company’s vision.
Mr. Pobee possesses a wealth of practical working expertise in the areas of strategic planning, contracts and business negotiations, conflicts and crisis management, oil and gas trading and trade finance structuring to mention but few.
He is also very interested in ensuring that RPL gives back to the communities in which it operates and to society at large and to this end implements Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that are truly rewarding and laudable.
Mr. Pobee holds a degree in Automotive Engineering and Injection Molding from the Sheradine College , and a Diploma in Injection Molding Engineering at the Humber College.
He is a registered member of the Society of Plastic Engineering Canada.
RUBY AKUA AGLAGOH is the Board Secretary and Member of the Board of RPL. She is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Spring Legal Consultancy, a Legal Practitioner and Notary Public.
Mrs. Aglagoh has an LLB degree from the University of Ghana Legon and a BL from Ghana School of Law. Following her call to the Ghana Bar in 2001, she practiced with Awoonor Law Consultancy (ALC), a private investment and corporate law firm. At ALC, she was exposed to commercial and real estate litigation as well as the handling of high profile corporate local and international clients. She was part of the legal team that worked on the establishment of the West Africa Gas Pipeline project among others.
Thereafter, she joined Provident Insurance Company Limited, as Legal /Administrative Counsel and acquired extensive knowledge in insurance and labour law practice as well as in-house legal representation.
Ruby then joined JLD &MB Legal Consultancy in 2007. As a Senior Associate of the firm she gained in depth experience in corporate practice and procedures whilst providing advise to a wide array of clientele both locally and internationally. Clients she represented include AngloGold, L’Oreal West Africa, Fraser Alexander, Celltel International BV, Zain, Delta Airlines, NGM International B.V, Control Risk, USDA and the Danish Embassy to mention but few. She was also involved in various high profile corporate transactions and advisory work and honed her skills in corporate law and practise.
Mrs. Aglagoh was made an external partner in the firm Alloh & Partners from its inception in 2004 and offered consultancy services to the firm on corporate and commercial law matters from time to time until she came on board in 2009. As a Senior Partner at Alloh & Partners, Mrs Aglagoh managed the corporate and commercial wing of the firm chalking successes in various major corporate transactions in Ghana as lead counsel working with SAS Consortium. Notable transactions and advisory work include the re-capitalisations of Aluworks Limited and National Investment Bank, the merger of The Trust Bank with Ecobank Transnational to mention but few.
In the area of litigation, Mrs Aglagoh has extensive experience in debt recovery for Banks and non-Bank financial institutions as well as other entities and represents high net worth individuals in resolving various matters.
Mrs Aglagoh also does some public interest work and serves as an Executive member/Public Relations officer of the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA), a non-profit organization. Notably, she served as a trainer for Military Officers going on various Peace Keeping Missions in the area of Child Rights and Protection. As a Human Rights Advocate and a member of AWLA, she has been part of a team of female lawyers advocating for change and lobbying for the improvement of existing legislations and the drafting of new ones to enhance the general wellbeing of women and children in Ghana.
She is an Alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the US State Department and holds a certificate in US Foreign Policy and Counterterrorism.
She is currently the Managing Partner and founder of Spring Legal Consultancy (SLC), a boutique corporate and real estate firm established in 2012 with clientele in Aviation, Banking, Petroleum, Real Estate and Property, Commercial and General trading among others as well as representing high net worth individuals.
Ruby serves on the Board of Radiance Petroleum Limited, Cedars Medical Centre, Vision Credits and Micro finance Limited and the African Women Lawyers Association. She is also a Partner at Ultimate Consulting Limited.
